Ideal for companies building their first HR structures.
- Separate evaluation by department and team
- First HR and works-council structures can be involved
- Benchmarks between teams reveal stress hotspots
- 15+ languages for mixed workforces
In brief: The Psychological Risk Assessment
The psychological risk assessment identifies workplace stress factors - before they become a problem. How high is the workload? Is team communication effective? Is there enough autonomy?
The GDA guideline defines six areas to be assessed: work content and task, work organisation, social relations, work environment, work equipment, and working time. SafeMind covers all of them.
Mandatory for all - including small businesses
Since 2013, §5 German Occupational Health Act requires every employer to conduct a psychological risk assessment. Yes, even with just one employee.
If the authority finds a defect, it first orders you to remedy it within a deadline (§22 Para. 3 ArbSchG) and can prohibit the work concerned. Breaching that enforceable order is an administrative offence and can mean a fine of up to €30,000 (§25 Para. 1 No. 2 lit. a in conjunction with Para. 2 ArbSchG), alongside personal liability. From 2026 the state authorities must inspect at least 5% of the companies in their state each year (§21 Para. 1a ArbSchG). That is a duty of the authorities, not the inspection probability of an individual business. Learn more about the legal basis →
And why SafeMind?
Because it's fast. Create an account, launch the survey, share the QR code with employees - done. No consulting appointment, no weeks of preparation. See how we compare
Because it's built around what §6 asks for. The questionnaire follows the GDA guidelines, and the evaluation comes as a PDF documenting the result of the assessment in the form §6 ArbSchG requires. §6 asks for three things: that result, the measures you decide on, and the result of reviewing them. Deriving and implementing the measures and checking that they work stay with you as the employer; we supply the templates for that. Why not just do it yourself?
Because it's anonymous. Participation via QR code, no login required. 15+ languages for international teams. Servers in Germany.
